Overview
Although the launch of MansionBet was only announced in February 2018, the site is run by Mansion (Gibraltar) Limited, a company with plenty of experience in the online gambling market. In fact, Mansion was founded in 2003 and has built up a portfolio of casino sites.
Where MansionBet differs from those sites, however, is in its provision of a complete sportsbook suite. This means that, with MansionBet, its owner has entered territory with which it is relatively unfamiliar. However, our initial impressions are certainly good.
Promotions
Despite having a dedicated ‘Promotions’ tab on its website, MansionBet actually offers quite a scarce selection of promotions for its sports bettors - at least at the moment.
Many of the promotions that we did see on the site during our visit were aimed specifically at its casino and games players. That's not to say that sports bettors are unjustly neglected in comparison to other users of MansionBet; however, the promotions do seem a bit generic.
However, as we will better detail later in this review, you can actually put winnings from casino games here towards your sports betting pursuits. The promotions may, therefore, seem more appealing if you find yourself loving both the casino and sports aspects of MansionBet.
We also expect MansionBet to increase the choice of promotions as the site better establishes itself.
Sports Betting Types and Betting Markets
MansionBet has clearly hit the ground running with its choice of sports that can attract punters' bets. When we visited the site, it already listed more than 30 categories of sport, some of which may be very familiar to you from other online sports bookies, including:
- Football
- Horse riding
- Tennis
- Cycling
- Golf
To give an even better idea of the choice available, here are some of the less orthodox sports that MansionBet covers:
- Aussie rules
- Darts
- Floorball
- Futsal
- Surfing
Still, it's hard to look past football as surely the UK's favourite sport. MansionBet seems well aware of this, as it prominently features links for some of the sport's most prestigious competitions - including the Premier League, Champions League and Bundesliga.
Betting Coverage
A whole section of MansionBet's site is reserved for the in-play betting options. We found football and tennis to be the best-represented sports when we checked out this part of the site; however, basketball, badminton, cricket and other sports matches also featured.
Nonetheless, while we wouldn't take major issue with the choice of live matches at the moment, there remains one glaring omission in the live offerings: live streaming. We anticipate MansionBet adding this feature should it continue to bulk out its live betting options.
Another noticeable absence is that of a MansionBet mobile app. Still, considering that Mansion does offer both smartphone and tablet apps for other gambling brands under its wing, there could well be a MansionBet app in the works by the time you read this.
It's also worth pointing out that, in any case, the MansionBet site is intuitive and smooth to use through a mobile web browser.
Software and Graphics
Mansion has tended to give different brands distinct visual identities; however, in the case of MansionBet, the site's interface has much in common with that of Mansion Casino, right down to the similar logos. White touches on a black backdrop are features of both sites.
Both sites also have interfaces that are easy to navigate - even if, right now, we would deem Mansion Casino's to look more refined and less cluttered. However, this does indicate the promising direction in which the MansionBet website's design could soon proceed.
As you get underway with actually placing bets on the latter site, you could be pleasantly surprised by how smooth the whole process feels. You can largely attribute that impression to the site's use of the sportsbook software solution from highly regarded developer SBTech.
Extra Value
You should keep in mind that, when you use the MansionBet site to check your balance, the sportsbook and casino balances will be listed separately. However, the total balance across both portions of the site will also be listed - and there could be a very good reason for that...
Transferring money between the sportsbook and casino is possible. If you therefore go on a particularly lucky streak with your sports betting and then want to give yourself a cushion that could help you to compete a while on one of the casino games, this is a practical option.
Loyalty or VIP Programme
Mansion runs a loyalty scheme for its casino players; however, sports bettors seem to be left out for now. For the time being, they will have to make do with MansionBet's regular promotions until this bookie sees fit to add some kind of loyalty or VIP programme.
Other Offerings
Although the site is largely geared towards sports bettors, it also runs a well-fleshed-out casino; we particularly like the experience with the live dealers across the decent selection of live casino games. MansionBet also offers table, cards and slots games - including Starburst.
Deposit and Withdrawal Methods
The deposit method choices, while limited, should suffice for many bettors:
Payment Method | Minimum Deposit |
---|---|
Mastercard Credit Card | £10 |
Mastercard Debit Card | £10 |
Visa Credit Card | £10 |
Visa Debit Card | £10 |
PayPal | £10 |
*Current as of June 2018; please check MansionBet’s website for updates
Payout Policy
The number of payment services through which withdrawals can be issued is just as modest:
- Mastercard credit card
- Mastercard debit card
- Visa credit card
- Visa debit card
- PayPal
*Current as of June 2018; please check MansionBet’s website for updates
Customer Support
Each day from 9am until 1am, MansionBet has friendly customer support agents on hand. A phone number and email address are displayed on the Contact Us page; there is also Live Chat, but the site could do a better job of promoting this.
Who Can Play?
You will be unable to take part in real play gambling activities on the MansionBet site if you live in one of these countries or their territories:
- Bulgaria
- Cyprus
- Denmark
- Estonia
- France
- Hong Kong
- Israel
- United States of America
There is also a block on Singapore residents' access to any part of the site.
Licence
Mansion Europe Holdings Ltd runs MansionBet under a Remote Operating Licence from the United Kingdom Gambling Commission, a globally renowned body that sets high standards.
Bottom Line
MansionBet is clearly still in its infancy but has made an impressive start with the range of sports on which players are already able to bet. This gives us confidence that MansionBet could soon fill some of the clear gaps in its betting opportunities.
